This calculator turns a user-entered ready-mix quantity and supplier rate into a transparent preliminary material-cost estimate.
CONC-COST-001 multiplies a stated ready-mix quantity by the rate you type. It is not a plant quote and not a cubic-yard takeoff. Keep the yards on the slab or wall line, then price them here so a later estimator can change the rate without re-measuring.
Worked example. Example: 3 yd³ at a stated $185/yd³ rate has a $555 material cost before separate delivery, labor, taxes or other project costs.

Field notes that change the number
- Enter the waste-adjusted order quantity, not the net prism.
- Replace the planning rate with a dated ticket from the plant you will actually use.
- Delivery, overtime and Saturday pours are extras — do not bury them in the yard rate unless the ticket says so.
Common mistakes
- Using this as a substitute for the slab takeoff.
- Leaving the default rate on a client letter.
- Claiming the total is a live Qatar or US plant feed.
QAR, AED and SAR convert the rate you typed. They are not municipality price lists.
