Who
A named founder and a public methodology.
Feroz Sheikh is from Nepal and lives in Doha, Qatar. He built Construclytic as a planning website for contractors and project planners who want quantities, waste, rounding and cost components in the open.
There is no invented engineering licence, no PE stamp, and no contracting firm behind the logo. If a formula is wrong, the correction lands on the public changelog and the formula version changes.
How
Deterministic TypeScript, versioned in public.
Every published calculator has a formula ID, a version, visible inputs, a worked example and a planning boundary. Arithmetic is deterministic code — not an LLM guessing a yardage. Feroz Sheikh runs the documented internal checks himself.
Costs use the rate you enter. Construclytic does not fetch live supplier prices. Ready-mix rounding, bag yields and waste stay as inputs so an old quote letter can still explain itself.
Why
Because a black-box total is not a takeoff.
Free calculator directories rarely connect a result to a client-ready quote. Contractor apps often hide the math behind a login. Construclytic sits in between: measure the job, inspect the formula, drop the line into an estimate, send a letter — account optional.
137 internally tested calculators are published. Thin copies of the same page are not the product. Unique geometry, waste and purchase rules belong on the page that uses them.
