No. Calculate underlayment separately because roll coverage and overlap requirements differ.
Can I deduct fixed furniture?
Make exclusions deliberately in your final measured takeoff if they are material to the project.
How many boxes of laminate flooring do I need?
An 18 × 14 ft floor at 20 ft² per carton with 10% waste returns 14 cartons. Replace coverage with the carton in your hand.
Should waste be higher for a diagonal layout?
Yes. Straight lay often uses about 10%. Herringbone or diagonal usually needs more — keep that percentage visible.
