How this calculator works

A transparent stucco calculator takeoff.

This calculator subtracts door and window openings from wall area, multiplies by the number of coats, then divides by the selected bag's coverage per coat after a visible allowance.

Worked example. Example: a 40 ft × 8 ft wall with one 21 ft² door and two 15 ft² windows has 269 ft² of net area. Two coats with 10% waste at 50 ft² per bag round to 12 bags.

1. Measure finished wall length and height.
2. Deduct actual door and window areas.
3. Enter coats and the coverage printed for the selected base or finish mix at that coat thickness.

Does this include lath or weep screed?

No. Metal lath, paper, foam board, trim and colour coat accessories are separate lines.

Is coverage the same for scratch and finish?

No. Calculate each coat with its own bag coverage when the products differ.
