How this calculator works

A transparent fascia takeoff.

Eave plus rake, times a mitre allowance, rounded up to whole sticks of the stock length you will buy.

Worked example. Example: 60 ft of eave plus 40 ft of rake with 10% waste is 110 ft, which rounds to 7 sticks of 16 ft fascia.

1. Measure eaves and rakes separately. A hip roof may have eaves only.
2. Buy longer sticks than the longest run when you can, so you splice less in the weather.
3. Sub-fascia and finish fascia are different lines if the job uses both.

Aluminum wrap or wood?

Length math is the same. Coil stock is often sold by the linear foot of a stated width — keep that as a second line.

Is this drip edge?

No. Drip edge is the metal at the roof edge. Fascia is the vertical board the gutter mounts to.
