How this calculator works

A transparent soffit takeoff.

Eave length times soffit width gives area, then divide by one panel’s face after a cutting allowance and round up to whole panels.

Worked example. Example: 60 ft of eave with a 16 in soffit is 80 ft². 12×12 in panels at 12 ft with 10% waste round to 8 panels.

1. Measure every eave that receives soffit, including porch returns.
2. Enter the actual overhang, not the rafter tail length if they differ.
3. Vented vs solid is a SKU, not this count.
