A transparent gutter calculator takeoff.
This calculator turns eave length into whole gutter pieces using stock length and a visible mitre allowance, then counts downspout pieces from drop count and run length.
Worked example. Example: a 40 ft eave with 10 ft gutter pieces and 10% waste rounds to 5 gutter pieces. Two 10 ft downspouts add 2 downspout pieces.
- 1. Measure the eave run that actually receives gutter.
- 2. Enter the purchasable section length, not a theoretical custom extrusion.
- 3. Count downspout drops from outlets, not from a rule of thumb alone.
