This calculator converts a vinyl fence run into whole panels, posts and caps while holding gate openings out of the panel count.

Worked example. Example: an 80 ft run of 8 ft panels with one 4 ft gate and 5% waste rounds to 10 panels, 12 posts and 12 caps.

1. Measure the run including gate openings.
2. Enter the panel width printed for the system you are buying.
3. Confirm post style, rails and gate kits as separate product lines.

Are gate kits included?

No. Each gate is treated as a 4 ft opening. Buy the gate kit separately.

Why posts = panels + 1 + gates?

A panel run needs a post at each end. Each gate adds a latch or hinge post that is not a panel joint.
