How this calculator works

A transparent acreage takeoff.

Rectangular length times width, divided by 43,560 for acres and by 10,000 m² for hectares. This is a planning area, not a boundary survey.

Worked example. Example: a 200 × 150 ft tract is 30,000 ft², 0.69 acres and 0.279 hectares.
  1. 1. Measure or scale the two sides of a rectangle that matches the tract.
  2. 2. Split odd shapes into rectangles and add the acres on the estimate.
  3. 3. Do not use this number to move a fence. Hire a survey when the line matters.
