A transparent brick calculator takeoff.
This calculator divides net wall area by the selected nominal brick face, then rounds whole bricks and mortar bags after a visible cut allowance.
Worked example. Example: a 20 ft × 8 ft wall with one 21 ft² door and two 15 ft² windows has 109 ft² of net area. Modular 8 × 2.67 in nominal faces need 809 bricks after 10% waste and 6 mortar bags at 140 bricks per bag.
- 1. Measure finished wall length and height.
- 2. Deduct openings using measured areas when they differ from the defaults.
- 3. Confirm the brick's nominal face and the mortar bag yield before ordering.
